• Asharqia Chamber intensifies preparations for the launch of the Awqaf Practices Forum

    Asharqia Chamber, represented by its Endowments Committee, is preparing to launch its forum (Waqf Practices 2022 ... Endowment Creativity and Innovation), which is sponsored by His Royal Highness Prince Ahmed bin Fahd bin Salman, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province, and in strategic partnership with the General Authority for Endowments, on Wednesday. Corresponding to September 28, 2022 AD, it aims to promote a culture of creativity and innovation in the endowment sector.

    The forum, which comes in five sessions, during which about 16 experts in the endowment field will speak, discusses several topics related to creative and innovative practices and experiences locally and globally that have positive returns on increasing the return from endowments in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

    The Chairman of the Asharqia Chamber, Bader bin Suleiman Al-Raziza, said that the chamber is making preparations and equipment for the launch of the forum and that it harnesses all its capabilities to achieve success for it, noting that the topics of the discussion are in line with national options in the endowment sector by raising its efficiency and enhancing its contribution to sustainable development.​

    Since the launch of Vision 2030, the Meeting has been in a state of active mobility at all levels to diversify the economic base and increase the contributions of all economic sectors to GDP, he said, noting that the Forum reviews successful practices and experiences in upgrading the endowment, as well as the latest innovative and creative tools in achieving sustainable endowment growth.

    For this part, the Chairman of the Awqaf Committee, Ayad Al-Qahtani, said that the Forum is targeted through its five sessions. To provide summaries of endowment experiences at home and abroad, which have been able to provide innovative and creative practices that support and sustain Waqf entities by developments in the world's economic structures; The Forum's working papers would highlight national innovation systems and their role in creating a supportive environment for innovation in the waqf sector. and the latest financial innovations in the field, institutions and Western endowment experiences in technological innovation, The impact of crowdfunding platforms on the sustainability of the non-profit sector as well as innovative solutions and opportunities to service endowments, and other papers relevant to the waqf sector and the subsequent developments, creativity and innovation have played a role in its occurrence.​
